Weaving Our Worlds

Edward’s proposal to move in still lingers, but our compromise—spending more time together—has begun to reshape my world. Tonight, I’m at his penthouse, a step I’ve taken with both excitement and trepidation, and as I jot these thoughts in my notebook, I’m starting to see how our lives might intertwine.

The past week has been a dance of adjustment. Our first night together started with me hauling my favorite teapot and a box of spices to his place, my short hair tied back as I navigated his sleek kitchen. Edward watched, amused, as I brewed chai, the woody scent of his cologne mixing with the spices. “You’re bringing India here,” he said, his blue eyes warm, and I laughed, feeling a piece of home settle into his modern space. We cooked together—my dal paired with his attempt at pasta—and the kitchen filled with laughter, a sound that felt new yet right.
